The grandmas start setting up their stalls at 6 AM. Four lotus flowers and one lotus pod cost 10 yuan~ 📍Shuangta Market A popular market in Suzhou, with a variety of breakfast options~ Red bean paste dumplings, paper-thin egg yolk shumai, egg pancakes, tofu pudding, crabapple cakes, and Suzhou-style mung bean soup are all highly recommended‼️ 📍Wu Zuoren Art Museum After breakfast, you can walk to the Wu Zuoren Art Museum, where you can not only appreciate traditional Chinese paintings but also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the back garden‼️ You can take a photo with the Twin Pagodas‼️ It's also my favorite first photo‼️ 📍Suzhou Tourism Information Center (Phoenix Street Central Station) Head straight to the third floor, where you can also see the Twin Pagodas, as shown in pictures 4️⃣ and 5️⃣~ On the first floor, you can get a stamp, so remember to bring your stamp book~ 📍Wuquefang One of the ancient lanes in Suzhou, named after the ancient Wu people's song "Wuqu Tune." The famous Lehui Wonton Shop here offers bubble wontons for 7 yuan per bowl. It's said that Carina Lau has eaten here, but this is yet to be verified~ 📍Yipu Garden A garden hidden in the alleys, quieter compared to the famous Lion Grove Garden and the Humble Administrator's Garden. Though small, it is exquisite and serene, and the ticket is only 10 yuan~ 📍Taibo Temple The first temple in the Jiangnan region dedicated to Taibo, the founder of the ancient Wu state. The temple houses plaques with inscriptions by Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong. 📍Wufeng Garden A classical garden built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, known for its mountains, ponds, and rock formations. Unfortunately, it was not open when I visited. 📍Changmen Ruins Built in the Spring and Autumn period, "Chang" means connecting to the heavens, symbolizing receiving the heavenly wind and the protection of the gods through Changmen. 📍Shantang Street Named after the Shantang River, it is one of the most representative historical and cultural streets in Suzhou. In addition to white walls, black tiles, small bridges, and flowing water, there are also many delicacies here, especially lively at night.
