Free Suzhou Gardens! Recently opened!

Zhan's Garden, also known as 'Wu Ai Tang', has just been renovated and reopened yesterday. This is a Qing Dynasty garden built during the Jiaqing period. The original owner's surname was Zhan, an overseas Chinese. The garden was once deserted during the Cultural Revolution. After several changes of hands, it was donated to the Suzhou Social Welfare Institute in 2005. It has now been renovated and reopened, and many tourists visited on the second day. Highlights: Two uniquely patterned flower windows, and an extremely miniature garden. Location: Luqiu Fang Lane, Gusu District, near Line 4 Chayuanchang, about 500 meters walk. The garden is not large and can be strolled leisurely. The scenery is very good in rainy days. Tickets: Free.
