Nikola Church

Xiedaya. The former site of Nikola Church is located at No. 135 Dazhi Road. It was one of the earlier Eastern Orthodox churches built by the Russians in Suifenhe during the construction of the Middle East Railway in 1898. The church was a European-style geometric three-dimensional wooden structure with exquisite and unique craftsmanship, but it was destroyed by fire in 1908. It was rebuilt on the original site in 1913 with a brick and concrete structure. Having endured a century of harsh weather, the church stands as a witness to history and is a typical representative of European-style architecture in Suifenhe. The church's architectural craftsmanship is exquisite and unique, featuring a brick and concrete structure. The main entrance faces west, with a tall bell tower and a single onion dome design, thick doors, and high windows, with an upper curved arch shape. It is now the Suifenhe Christian Church.
