Climbed Wudang Mountain and now my legs don’t feel like my own

Wudang Mountain truly deserves its title as the Number One Immortal Mountain in the World. The architectural style and scenery are absolutely stunning. But those of you who have climbed it are way too tight-lipped about it. How did people manage to climb those high stone steps one by one? On Wednesday, when the cable car was free, I chose to take the cable car to the Golden Summit. I originally planned to walk down the mountain from the Golden Summit to Nanyan. But I overestimated my strength and underestimated Wudang Mountain’s popularity. There were so many people that I couldn’t even squeeze into the entrance of the Golden Summit. Today, my route was to take a shuttle from the Visitor Center to first visit Taizipo. The Nine-Bend Yellow River Wall at Taizipo, with its red walls and green tiles, is especially photogenic. After Taizipo, I took the shuttle directly to Nanyan. The stairs up and down Nanyan conquered my legs, silenced my mouth, and amazed my heart. Every building there carries the wisdom and aesthetics of the ancients, as well as the careful preservation by modern people. After leaving Nanyan, I planned to follow the downhill path and visit Zixiao Palace and Xiaoyao Valley one by one. But again, I overestimated my stamina and ended up taking the shuttle straight down the mountain. Seeing some sisters who managed to tour the entire Wudang Mountain in one day without missing a single spot, I really admire them—such great endurance! 👏 If you enter Wudang Mountain twice within three days, you only need to pay an additional 20 yuan for the shuttle each time. If time allows, try to split your visit into two days, so you can explore leisurely and thoroughly. Overall, my trip to Wudang Mountain this time, though with some regrets, can be considered fulfilling. It leaves some room for imagination and adds to my anticipation for next time.
