Geirangerfjord

Norway is a country world-famous for its ice fjords. It is a blessing for everyone to have this legacy of nature. The Geirangerfjord was formed during the Quaternary Ice Age 1.6 million years ago and is about 16 kilometers long. Its pristine fjord landscape features steep cliffs on both sides standing on the calm sea, with an altitude of 1,400 meters and extending down to more than 500 meters below the sea. Due to its magnificent and pristine glacial fjord scenery, Geirangerfjord and the Nærøyfjord, a branch of the Sognefjord, Norway's largest fjord, were listed as a World Natural Heritage Site in 2005. The Eagle Road and the Elf Road we are on are collectively known as the Golden Road, which is one of the 18 official scenic roads in Norway. On this Golden Road, the driver let us get off the car and overlook Norway's most famous landscape, the Geirangerfjord. The magnificent beauty of the landscape is beyond words. The beautiful and magnificent scenery shocks every visitor from the bottom of their hearts. Take a ferry cruise on the Geirangerfjord and admire the green mountains and high waterfalls on both sides from the sea. You can also feel the shock of Geiranger. This is a must-do itinerary when visiting the Geirangerfjord. We also stayed in the fjord area for one night. We strolled along the road beside the fjord at night. The sky was as if it was evening. Because it is always daylight in the high latitudes in summer, the sun can still be seen at 12 o'clock in the evening. It was magical and wonderful! The tranquility here is a simple happiness.
