Lesedi Cultural Village: Deep Dive into South African Culture and Traditions

Lesedi Cultural Village is situated within the Cradle of Humankind, a World Heritage Site and home to the earliest traces of humanity. This is a great place to learn about South Africa’s rich culture and culture of different tribes in South Africa. Had a very fun and enriching time. Getting There - It is about an hour drive from Johannesburg. Recommend joining a day tour and visit it with Cradle of Humankind. Highlights - Firstly, the cultural village tour shows you how each of the different tribes in South Africa live and the unique features and differences in each tribe, such as the Zulu, Xhosa, Pedi etc. Another highlight for me is trying out the traditional African drums and playing along with the tribes. Of course, we can't forget the super energetic and vibrant dance performance presented by all the different tribes. Food - There is a restaurant on site where you can taste and experience traditional African food and delicacies.
