Seoul | Comprehensive Guide to the National Museum of Korea

The National Museum of Korea is a place I've seen countless times on Running Man, where Ji-hyo once won by hiding an insole, and the image of Kwang-soo running with a bag at sunset is unforgettable. During my visit to Korea, I explored the museum and compiled some practical information for your reference! Overview of Exhibits by Floor: 1st Floor: ① Prehistory and Ancient History Gallery: Learn about the history and culture of Korea from the Stone Age, through the Three Kingdoms period, to the Unified Silla and Balhae periods. ② Medieval and Early Modern History Gallery: Following the Prehistory and Ancient History Gallery, this section showcases the history and culture from the Goryeo to the Joseon Dynasty and the Korean Empire, organized by different themes. 2nd Floor: ① Calligraphy and Painting Gallery: Enjoy the beauty of traditional calligraphy and paintings, and view high-quality artworks and large outdoor ritual Buddhist paintings. ② Donation Gallery: Appreciate the cultural heritage donated by collectors who dedicated their lives to sharing the beauty and value of cultural heritage, featuring various Korean ancient artworks and pieces from around the world. 3rd Floor: ① Sculpture and Crafts Gallery: Admire the essence of Korean Buddhist sculpture and craft culture, and learn about representative Buddhist statues, metal crafts, and ceramic culture from different eras. ② World Culture Gallery: Displays the rich and diverse cultures of Mesopotamia, Central Asia, India, Southeast Asia, China, Japan, and other major world cultures, highlighting the commonalities and diversity between cultures.
