I stayed at a small hotel called La Boheme in Jakarta. The natural atmosphere was very cute, and the abundance of green and brown colors made the stay feel very calming. The cleanliness of the place also made it comfortable for a Japanese person like me. Another great point was the independent washbasin. It was convenient for washing my face and brushing my teeth. The room wasn't large, but it was sufficient for a few days' stay. There is a restaurant on the rooftop where you can enjoy a light meal. There were both Indonesian and international guests, and the menu included Western-style dishes. The breakfast buffet had fruits and vegetables that were light and delicious. If you go to Jakarta, you should definitely check it out.

Just head to the back side of the hotel, you will find one big mall named Lippi Mall Kemang Village which has various brand names for you to do shopping. Everybody knows Kemang, so it will be easy to reach here even from the Airport. There are several areas in Jakarta that are named after the alphabet. One of them is Blok M. It's not quite a Japanese town, but there are many restaurants for Japanese people lined up. There are Japanese restaurants, Japanese supermarkets, and sushi restaurants. There are also cutely designed bakeries and cafes, so it's a great spot to stop by for tea while shopping. There are also karaoke and bars, and it seems that you'll meet a lot of Japanese people at night. I have been regularly exploring spa options in south east Asia. The expericne has mostly been good. I tend to avoid the cheapest of options and ask locals for ideas. One such occasion I was handed over some discount coupons via our receptionist. With a 30 percent off, the prices made sense. To start with the location, you have to ensure you get the right one. They have several locations that showed up on the grab app. You have to pick the one with the mention of "wolter" in the address. Upon arriving I was given a drink. There was slight confusion with the service offerings. Turns out the the voucher applied only on the longer (90mins) treatments. I opted for a traditional massage and it all worked out. My masseuse Hesty seemed ab experienced and well trained person. She communicated timely about the pressure and explained me things. Also allowing me to relax and get into that spa mode. We finished 5 mins sooner but that didn't matter. Again I was fetched some tea and they asked about feedback. This second edition of Monday Morning Coffee focuses more on manual brew, so if you're into filter coffee, this place is worth a visit. They also have coffee mocktails unique to this branch, like the Septemberzz (30k), which as far as I remember, includes espresso, kombucha, and tepache. It's refreshingly balanced without being too strong on the kombucha side. If you come here, you'll be tempted by their unique selection of beans both local and international. When I visited recently. I had it brewed in a V60, and it was incredibly smooth and clean, with no bitter or acidic aftertaste absolutely loved it. Then, I ordered the special edition Semendo Ultrasonic for its berry and rose notes, asking for it in Japanese ice drip. It had a pleasant berry acidity, not too acidic or bitter. I'm glad there's a coffee shop like this around. I used to live nearby in Pesanggrahan, and if I were still there, I'd probably be a regular here, especially with their intriguing selection of beans. Back to another #hotelreview session ✨ Here is Gran Melia Jakarta, a five stars hotel located in the busy area of South Jakarta. The hotel is huge and the service is totally warm. Every corner of the hotel has a nice fragrance. First arrived in the hotel, the concierge/doorman welcomed us with his deft service. He asked me to put the luggages with him. I thankfully got an early check-in (yeayyy!). Shortly after check-in time, the luggages were delivered into our room ✨ The room of Gran Melia is spacious (more than 40 sqm I think), there's a nice bathroom and bath tube too. Amenieties were complete. They also provided super delicious coffee and tea in sachets for us too to drink in the room. Probably best staycation in #Jakarta for this recent months. An awesome theme park located inside the Trans Studio Shopping Mall in Cibubur. A lot of great, high-quality rides that you can try here. My personal favourite was the Alien Taxi which kinda mimics the Space Mountain ride in Disneyland. You can find most of the typical rides in any theme park here such as a dark ride, roller coaster, a 4D simulation, wet ride and also a walking zombie simulation! Sate Khas Senayan is a perfect place to bond with your family and friends over a wide range of traditional Indonesian Food. They have multiple branch all over Indonesia including Grand Indonesia, Plaza Indonesia, Sarinah Thamrin as well as at Soekarno Hatta Airport. I was approached by a staff who showed me to my table and he explained to me some of their bestseller menu, which is very helpful in helping me making decision on what to order. I ordered their Nasi Ayam Taliwang, one of their newest menu at that time along with their Es Lime Tea. The chicken was soft and tender. The nasi ayam comes with boiled egg and kangkung (spinach) topped with sambal sauce. A chicken skewers are also included in this dish and it is juicy! While walking back to my hotel in Thamrin, I passed by a bakery and pastry shop in Jalan Wahid Hasyim called The Harvest. I decided to drop by to get some pastries and there were soo many choices to choose from! They have wide range of products from cakes, breads, cupcakes, tarts and many more! I bought one of their cakes called Break Cake which i found so unique as it comes in a cube shape. I also bought their Chocolate Long John which is a soft bread with chocolate topping and filling. Their breads are super softt and their fillings are just nice and not too sweet. Iced Cappuccino are nice too. I came two days in a row and the staff are friendly! I even bought some for my friends.
