Super Pit is an Open working Gold Mine and is an amazing view...FREe attraction where you can easily spend an hour... or more if you like... Just a short road up,from the main highway into Kalgoorlie, to the viewing area. Plenty of parking spaces and large viewing area where you can see the trucks filling up and transporting the earth to its next stage. There are plenty of boards showing pictures and explanation of the mine. Take your photos in the massive excavation bucket or sat on a gigantic tyre! Well worth a stop off if you are passing through Kalgoorlie
