Roadtrip: 6-day of indulgence around South Australia

If indulgence had a form, it would be South Australia. I arrived with no expectations and left with cherished memories and connections. Here’s my route, filled with hand-picked recommendations from locals: Day 1️⃣ — Port Elliot Relax at the beach, enjoy a coastal run, and catch up on laundry. Sleeping at: YHA Port Elliot one of the best hostels I’ve ever seen (€24) Day 2️⃣ — Deep Creek National Park Drive for a scenic day hike exploring rugged trails and stunning coastal views. Met my first kangaroos there! Sleeping at: YHA Port Elliot (€24) Day 3️⃣ — Rapid Bay & Glenelg Dip into ocean at Rapid Bay and grab a gelato at Glenelg before camping at under the stars. Sleeping at: Parham Camping Ground (€9), 70km drive north from Adelaide. Day 4️⃣ — Adelaide Trail run at Morialta Conservation Park, visit the Botanic Garden and Himeji Garden, and enjoy pizza and ginger beer. Sleeping at: YHA Adelaide Central (€22) Day 5️⃣ — Coastal Adventure Explore Sellicks Beach, Port Willunga caves, the Dali art at D’Arenberg Wines, walk down the pier at Port Noarlunga, spot koalas and kangaroos at Punchbowl Lookout and Trails and watch the ocean sunset at Hallett Cove. Sleeping at: YHA Adelaide (€22) Day 6 — Barossa Valley Wine tasting (17 wines!) at Kellermeister wines learning about local grapes, and camping in style in the Gods Hill Wines vineyard (make sure to greet the host Charlie!)
