Songyang County was established in the 4th year of the Jian'an period of the Eastern Han Dynasty, nearly 2,000 years ago. The county seat was established in Xiping Town during the Zhenyuan period of the Tang Dynasty, more than 1,200 years ago. The core of the old city is now Songyang Old Street, known as the "Living Along the River During the Qingming Festival" painting. 🌈Highlights: Unlike other cities' reconstructed old streets, Songyang Old Street is a truly living old street. It is more than 400 meters long and about 4-5 meters wide. Located in the south of the ancient city, the road is straight and accessible. It was the most prosperous commercial center in Songyang's history. In ancient times, Nanzhi Old Street was the largest commercial center in southwestern Zhejiang, bustling with merchants. It was not only the economic center of Songyang but also the commercial hub of southwestern Zhejiang. As a witness to Songyang's history, it records the vicissitudes and changes of this ancient city. On this old street, every stone slab and wooden door carries a heavy historical memory. ✅Wander aimlessly along the old street, taste the local delicacies in the small shops favored by locals, feel the passage of time in the historically rich buildings, and listen to the locals tell stories of the past.
