Lishui Ancient Villages: Chenjiapu Village

Lishui is a very beautiful city. In addition to the Xianyou of Jinyun and the ancient dyke painting village, there are many ancient villages in the mountains and wilds that were once unknown to the public, but are like a paradise on earth. Chenjiapu in Sidu Township, Songyang County is one of them. More than a decade ago, Chenjiapu was full of dilapidated houses, and no lights were seen at sunset, making it a well-known hollow village and a key target for poverty alleviation efforts. Later, after the maintenance and restoration of the old buildings, it has been revitalized. Chenjiapu is built on a cliff, and most of the buildings are earthen houses. Bamboo groves and vegetable gardens surround the village, and the valleys and mountain tops often have clouds rolling and unfolding, creating extremely beautiful scenery, much like a watercolor painting.
