The Beautiful Water and Pine Village. The Beautiful Water and Pine Village is a typical ancient village located by high mountains and water, with a history of over 520 years. The village contains a large variety of ancient buildings, including traditional residences, stone arch bridges, old post roads, and several ancestral halls. The oldest existing traditional residence was built during the Jiaqing era of the Qing dynasty, with most of the exterior and interior structures well-preserved. To this day, more than 200 households still live in these ancient houses. Nestled in the deep mountains, with small bridges over flowing streams and households, it possesses a wild and secluded charm that differs from the typical Jiangnan water towns of Suzhou and Hangzhou. However, it feels like aside from the famous ancient bridge and the stream that runs through the village, these have become the biggest attractions.
