Lake Garda’s fortress town

On a peninsula at the very southern point of Italy’s lake Garda sits the town of Sirmione and it’s imposing 13th century castle sitting by the shores of the lake. The castle itself is one of the best preserved in the country and a visit insight for a small fee is a must when exploring the town.
