Lunar New Year Dinner by the water

Address: JUMBO Seafood @ East Coast, 1206 ECP, #01-07/08 East Coast Seafood Centre, Singapore 449883 Located along east coast lies one of the oldest seafood chain restaurant in Singapore. We decided to have our family dinner here on the first day of Lunar New Year. The restaurant had a lovely view of the sea where you can watch airplanes landing in the distance. We ordered: 1. Homemade vegetable beancurd braised with crab meat - 10/10 The beancurd was soft and silky and the sauce was thick and flavourful. One of my favourite appetisers. 2. Scallops wrapped with yam ring - 8/10 This dish have a really nice balance in texture but personally I'm not a fan of the yam ring. It was a little dry. 3. Scallops with vegetables - 10/10 The scallops were cooked to perfection. Great texture and flavour. 4. Drunken prawns - 10/10 The prawn was sweet and crunchy! The shell falls off the prawn so easily! 5. Egg fried rice with shrimp - 10/10 A must order at every Chinese restaurant! 6. Soya sauce steam fish - 3/10 The fish had great texture but the sauce was lacking flavours. 7. Black pepper crab - 10/10 Jumbo is known for their crabs and it delivers! The crab was sweet and meaty! The sauce was very buttery and peppery. 8. Yu Sheng - 8/10 it came complimentary with the Lunar New Year offer. The flavour and texture was well balanced but the fish didn't smell fresh. Overall great place for a family gathering over the Lunar New Year. #yearofrabbit
