I wouldn’t say this is traditional as I grew up with more thinly sliced and more heavily toasted slices of toast along with the usual butter and kaya. But using thick toast is a fantastic idea as it allows a thicker portion of the bread to be toasted while still allowing it to be fluffy. The result is an incredibly satisfying crunch into your toast followed by a mouthwatering chew you get from quality buns. Something that one cannot miss in a local breakfast is the coffee. This coffee is without a doubt one of the best variant of local coffee I have tried. It’s thick, not overly roasted and extremely fragrant. I am sure this coffee is doing our ancestors proud.
