Garden Oasis in the City

Fort Canning Park is a 18 hectares park on a hilltop that is bounded by Hill Street, Canning Rise, Clemenceau Avenue and River Valley Road. My hike started from the highly instagrammable Fort Canning Tree Tunnel in a clockwork direction. Sights visited and photographed included Fort Canning Green, Farquhar Garden, Spice Garden, Sang Nila Utama Garden, Raffles Garden, Jubilee Park and Pancur Larangan. All the sights are interesting in their own ways and well worth a visit. I took a leisurely 2 hour hike to complete one round around the park. This is inclusive of a 30 mins break from breakfast at Tiong Bahru Bakery at The Foothills. Besides the historical sights, breathtaking views of the city can be taken from various parts of the park. Best to go earlier in the morning when the temperatures are lower and the air is fresher. #mustvisit
