Heritage Stay at Goodwood Park!

Goodwood Park Hotel was built in 1900 as the Teutonia Club for the elite German community. Today, its historic tower is gazetted the 22nd national monument of Singapore and you could get a glimpse of history when you stay at one of their 15 refurbished Heritage Rooms! The room gives off a rustic feel, muted with its shades of grey and olive green and yet contrasted with bright red glossy furniture that look like they belong in a different era. It comes with a separate living room area with an old school workspace, while a narrow corridor leads in to the bedroom. The bathroom looks elegant in its marble finishes and gold touches, but could get a little cramp. Goodwood Park boasts two swimming pools! The main pool is surrounded by a classic building exterior that reminds me of a country club, but it is rather exposed to the main lobby. I preferred the quieter Balinese-inspired Mayfair Pool, shrouded in foliage that made for a more relaxing swim. The trees and wooden huts do provide the pool with sort of an island charm.
