Heritage plot of land

Address - JW Marriott Hotel South Beach, 30 Beach Road, Access Via Nicoll Highway, Singapore 189763 The plot of land on which the current sky-scraping JW Marriott Hotel South Beach stands used to be a cluster of military buildings known as the Beach Road Camp. Many of the original pre-war buildings have been demolished except for Blocks 1, 9 and 14, which have been restored and given new life! They now contain restaurants, bars and lounges such as the famous Fish Pool Bar and other event spaces. It is pretty cool to see a preserved colonial building and then walk in to see a modern, fashion-forward interior!
