British military club house in WWII

Address - The NCO Club, 32 Beach Road, JW Marriott Hotel South Beach, Singapore 189764 Back in the 1950s, this property used to be called the NAAFI Britannia Club, a club house that served as a recreational facility for British servicemen in Singapore. When the British forces withdrew from the country in 1971, the government purchased it and converted it into the Singapore Armed Forces Non-Commissioned Officers (SAF NCO) Club in 1974. In 2002, The NCO Club was gazetted for conservation by the Urban Redevelopment Authority and became one of the first modern architectural heritage buildings to be conserved in Singapore. It has been acquired by JW Marriott and is currently a F&B establishment with many restaurants and bars within its premises!
