Niche Travel Guide to Singapore

Niche Check-in Spots in Singapore | Accidentally Stumbled into a Tropical Rainforest! 🌴||| Hi everyone, good evening~ I'm here to recommend two relatively niche travel check-in spots in Singapore - Singapore Botanic Gardens and Marina One. I visited both during my recent business trip to Singapore and I personally loved them. I'm sharing my notes with you all. 1️⃣🌳Singapore Botanic Gardens 🔖Introduction Singapore's first UNESCO World Heritage Site. Covering 74 hectares, it boasts over 20,000 species of exotic subtropical and tropical flowers and precious trees. 🚇Transportation Near Orchard Road, Napier subway station, walk to Tanglin Gate (There are 4 other entrances, please refer to the map search for transportation) 🎫Tickets Botanic Gardens: Free; National Orchid Garden: Adults SGD15/person, Seniors (60+) and Students SGD3/person, Children under 12 Free 📝Experience From the moment I entered the Tanglin Gate, I was surrounded by tall and lush forest trees. Tropical plants thrive and bloom here, exuding vitality and refreshing the soul. I felt like my body and mind were cleansed by the clear and vibrant energy of this place. The National Orchid Garden, located within the Botanic Gardens, houses thousands of orchid varieties, each with its unique shape, rich color, and distinct charm, ranging from bright and vibrant to subtle and elegant. There's also a cool house (The Sembcorp Cool House) in the garden, with a temperature between 16-23 degrees Celsius, offering a cool and comfortable environment to admire rare orchid species. 2️⃣🏙️Marina One 🔖Introduction Integrating commerce and living, Marina One consists of four high-rise buildings and a central ecological park (Green Heart), encompassing office spaces, residences, and retail functions. 🚇Transportation Near Gardens by the Bay, within walking distance from three subway stations: Marina Bay, Shenton Way, Downtown 📝Experience Standing in the open-air central ecological park surrounded by four high-rise buildings, I didn't feel oppressed at all. Walking along the spiral walkway, enveloped by lush tropical plants, I felt like I had wandered into a rainforest valley. Looking up at the undulating facade installations of the high-rise buildings, it was as if I had fallen into a giant ecological crystal ball. Stunning, intriguing, and marvelous. Overall, these two attractions are rich in natural beauty, with spectacular scenery and a pleasant environment, and relatively few crowds. They are well worth a visit on a sunny day to experience the charm of the Garden City and fully embrace nature. Highly recommended!
