Chic Vibes and Irresistible Waffles: A Perfect Brunch at Wakey Wakey

#favouriteitinerary One of our favorite hidden gems for a leisurely brunch is Wakey Wakey at Concourse Skyline along Beach Road. It’s the perfect retreat when we want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, particularly during the quiet, tranquil weekday mornings or afternoons when the café exudes an almost serene stillness. Whether we’re savoring the moment solo or sharing it with a companion, there’s something about the space that invites you to unwind and relax. From the moment we step in, we’re always drawn to their signature buttermilk waffles. These waffles are nothing short of sublime—crispy on the outside, yet irresistibly light and airy on the inside. They’re crowned with a generous helping of fresh, vibrant fruits, and the pairing of maple syrup or creamy vanilla ice cream adds just the right touch of sweetness. It’s a dish that manages to be both indulgent and comforting, offering that perfect balance of textures and flavors. No visit to Wakey Wakey feels complete without a cup of their exceptional lattes. The matcha latte, with its velvety texture and subtly earthy matcha flavor, is the ultimate comfort drink, especially on a calm morning. But when we crave something a little more robust, the café latte never fails to impress—it’s smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced, with just the right depth of coffee flavor to awaken our senses. If we’re in the mood for an extra treat, we always take a peek at their daily selection of cakes. The Speculoos Chocolate Cake, in particular, has won us over more than once with its decadent layers and rich, spiced flavor that pairs wonderfully with our coffees. It’s a sweet indulgence that elevates the whole experience, making our visit feel even more special. The ambiance at Wakey Wakey is equally captivating. With its industrial-chic design, featuring exposed concrete floors and pipes, the café combines modernity with a cozy charm. Large windows flood the space with natural light, creating an airy, welcoming atmosphere. It’s this perfect blend of style and serenity that makes it the ideal sanctuary for those looking to escape the daily grind. Whether we’re there to enjoy a quiet meal, catch up with a friend, or simply bask in the peaceful atmosphere, Wakey Wakey never disappoints. It’s one of those places that feels like a hidden treasure, always ready to welcome us back with open arms, no matter how many times we’ve been. #localfood #afternoonteatime #travel #thingstodo #myitinerary #citydaytours #singaporetrip
