Grand Park Hotel City Hall Reopening

Address - 10 Coleman Street Singapore * walking distance from City Hall MRT; across Peninsula and Funan Mall Features - gym, swimming pool, club lounge * I think their Crystal Club Lounge was originally located at a higher floor. Now, it’s just a small area in front of reception (refer to my photo). Highlights - Crystal Club Lounge; hotel’s location (very near Funan Mall, Peninsula Shopping Center & Raffles City Mall) Ave. Price - SGD300+ for Crystal Club Room * entitles you to access the Crystal Club Lounge where one can have breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails Experience Rating - 🌟🌟🌟 Trip Highlights: * enjoyed the spacious room despite initial “hiccups” (I had initial issues in the room which was addressed by housekeeping right away.) * awesome customer service at front desk - special mention to Melody & Mayshell. Melody processed my check-in, fast but thorough. She was very cheerful, helpful and readily answered any questions. Mayshell was very polite and helped ensure my housekeeping requests were done. * afternoon tea and evening cocktail snacks - 2 different sets offered alternately per day; since I stayed for 3D2N, i was served different food items per day (although dimsum & some desserts were the same for both days) * nice warm soak in their bathtub; there is separate area for shower * enjoyed my time in their big swimming pool, only 1 couple aside from myself during my slot (booking is by electronic concierge but nobody checks at entrance, so it’s possible for guests without booking to enter the area) Points for Improvement / For the hotel’s attention : * ensure room is cleaned thoroughly and fixtures, including hangers are ok (my experience was, the room smelled moldy/wet linen and the wooden hangers were moldy; I had them replaced & part of the room, cleaned again) * nobody stays in the lounge to tend to your needs (like replenishing drinks, etc); there were times I had to go out of the lounge for requests * gym equipments need cleaning * should improve soundproofing (even if I requested for a room away from the elevator, I can hear other guests who talks loudly or children screaming) * allow screen mirroring/chromecast * update e-concierge system to allow separate booking for gym and pool (currently, same time slot for both and you can only book once - so, if you don’t want to go the gym and pool consecutively, it’d be a problem booking online and you have to seek assistance for booking at front desk manually); update in room dining menu (only breakfast was shown) It would probably take a long time for me to go back to this hotel… Let them “get their groove back” for better chances of a better experience. #staycation #singapore #staycationsg #swimmingpool #bathtub #afternoontea #cocktails #eveningsnacks #hotelsg #crystalclublounge #hotellounge #loungeexperience
