The Singapore Natural History Museum, officially known as the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, is located next to the Cultural Center of the National University of Singapore (NUS). The museum is an important natural history research and education center in Southeast Asia, dedicated to showcasing and researching the biodiversity of Southeast Asia. Main Features: Collection and Exhibition: The museum has collected thousands of animal and plant specimens from Southeast Asia, including three dinosaur fossils excavated from the American desert, which are the treasures of the museum. Architecture and Design: The museum is a seven-story green building, providing 8,500 square meters of space. The building and its surrounding environment simulate the natural habitat of local plants and the landscape area of the systematic development garden. Biodiversity Research: The museum's biodiversity gallery covers an area of more than 2,500 square meters and consists of 15 areas. Different parts specifically introduce the origin and main branches of different species, focusing on the fauna and flora of Southeast Asia. Interactive Experience: The museum has interactive exhibitions, such as the introduction of the living environment of mangroves, swamps and dryland forests, and the display of different forms of plants evolved to adapt to different habitats. Opening Hours: The museum is open all year round, from 10:00 to 17:00 from Thursday to Sunday, and the latest admission time is 15:30. It is closed from Monday to Wednesday. Ticket Information: The adult ticket price is SGD 17, and the standard ticket for children/students/senior citizens/full-time national servicemen (NSF) is SGD 9.
