The Budda Tooth Relic Temple วัดพระเขี้ยวแก้ว

It is one of the famous temples in Singapore located in Chaina Town. Inside the temple is the Buddha's tooth relic. There is also Chinese art from the Tang Dynasty, mixed with Mandala. The building is red and beautiful. It was designed by Master Shi Fa Zhao (the abbot of this temple). The temple is divided into 7 floors. The 1st floor is the principal Buddha statue, with 8 Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. According to the Mahayana belief, all 8 Buddhas are protectors and give good fortune to people of different zodiac signs (according to the Chinese zodiac). The M floor is a mezzanine floor. You can look down and see the hall on the 1st floor. There are wax figures of each abbot of this temple, as well as various histories/documents. There are also letters from the Thai kings sent to this temple. They are located behind the principal Buddha statue. The 2nd floor is the museum and library. The 3rd floor is a museum that collects various Buddha statues from around the world. The 4th floor is the Sacred Light Hall, which displays the temple's important antiques, which are the Buddha's relics. /Buddha's Tooth Relic is enshrined in a large sacred stupa and is highly revered. Most Singaporeans come to walk around the Buddha's Tooth Relic for good luck. There are also cushions for meditation and chanting. You can't take pictures here, but I'll tell you that it's very beautiful and magnificent. The 5th floor is the rooftop. You have to walk up the stairs from the 4th floor. When you go up, there will be a large wheel for you to spin and make a wish (when you spin it, the lights in the room will turn on and if you spin it one full circle, it will make a sound like a bell). Outside, there is a small garden and surrounded by tens of thousands of small Buddha statues (if I remember correctly, if you make a donation of 50 SGD, the temple will put your name on the Buddha statue above to bring good luck to those who make merit). And Floor B is the basement floor. There are also bakeries for sale. On the 1st and 4th floors, there are souvenir shops and various auspicious items for rent. This magnificent place, but the entrance fee is free. Regulations: If you come here, you must dress appropriately. Do not wear sleeveless shirts/straps. No skirts/shorts, both men and women. But if you don't prepare anything, the temple provides a cloth for you to wear/cover into the temple. This temple is easy to get to.
