Japanese Fine Dining in Singapore 🇸🇬

#timetotravel Esora is a Michelin one star Japan x French fusion, Kappo-style fine dining restaurant in Singapore. “Esora” can be roughly translated into “painting in the sky” from Japanese to English. From my dining experience, the name Esora is truly very fitting because of the white and earthy toned interior, as well as the light on the ceilings which symbolizes the cloud formations in the sky. The 10-course degustation dinner at Esora is priced at 338 SGD per person (~1955 HKD). The 10 courses include: Strawberry Foie Gras Monaka (Thin Crisp Wafers), Kegani (cold crab appetizer), Stuffed Chicken (with morel and madeira), ESORA Spring Hassun (“Hassun” means “every bit of everything” and the spring seasonal dishes we enjoyed were scallops and a fish roll), Amadai Soup, Guriru Sawara (Grilled fish), Omi Wagyu, Clam Donabe (clam rice), Sake Ice-cream and Seasonal Fruits. 10 courses may sound a lot but because Chef Takeshi Araki utilizes ingredients to balance the flavours, you will not leave Esora feeling super full and bloated. Esora is definitely on the expensive end of fine dining, but I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant if you have the means. I honestly find it hard to believe it is only a one-star Michelin restaurant, as it deserves more than one star. #singapore #finedining #japanese
