Hiking at Lake Monona

Lake Monona, located in the city center, offers convenient access and connects several parks: Olin Park, Quann Park, Goodman Park, and Turville Point Conservation Park. The Olin Park Boat Launch provides stunning views and is the best spot to admire Madison's skyline. Walking and hiking here are incredibly soothing. A friendly reminder: during this season, be prepared for mosquitoes, especially when venturing into wooded trails and grassy areas. I followed the Capital City Trail along the lakeshore all the way to Monona Terrace. Despite the intense sunlight, the gentle breeze, the sound of waves, and the scenic views along the shore made the experience truly delightful.
