The Angkor Archaeological Complex attracts millions of tourists from around the world every year. Remember that a multi-day pass (for 3 or 7 days) to the Angkor area allows you to take breaks between temple visits. You can recharge at one of Siem Reap's spa centers. - Wake up early. It's an amazing feeling to be the first to arrive at the lost ruins. Just you, nature, and the remnants of a bygone civilization. - Bring plenty of water! - Discuss your desired route and its cost with the driver in advance. - Research information about the attractions before visiting. This is an important part of independent travel to ensure a satisfying experience. - If you enjoyed the atmosphere of Ta Prohm, I recommend visiting the distant Beng Mealea temples (check whether it is included in the Angkor ticket at the time of your visit). Tourists rarely make it there, and it feels as though nature has been left to its own devices. The cost of a tuk-tuk to Beng Mealea is around $40, while a car will be faster but more expensive. If you only have 1-2 days to visit Cambodia to see Angkor Wat, you can opt for an organized tour for a first introduction. The budget will be roughly the same, and the tour operator will handle all the trip arrangements. Simply choose a tour that suits your preferences.
