Kangding Is That Chill Mountain Town

#chinatravel Kangding is such a cool little town tucked in the mountains of Sichuan. It’s kind of the gateway to the Tibetan world but still has this cozy laid back feel. The town sits in a valley with a river running through it and mountains popping up all around. You get crisp air good food and just enough going on without feeling crazy busy. There are temples to check out random hot springs nearby and cable cars that take you up into the clouds. The music here is also a big deal the Kangding Love Song is super famous and you’ll hear it everywhere. The streets are fun to wander and there’s always something cooking at the street stalls. It’s also a great place to chill before heading deeper into Tibetan areas like Tagong or Litang. You get a little city comfort with that mountain town soul. If you’re into cool scenery and slow travel Kangding is a solid stop.
