The Ancient Chinese Shoe Museum

Located on the third floor of the Si County Museum, the Ancient Chinese Shoe Museum officially opened to the public on July 10, 1990. It is the first and only museum in China dedicated to showcasing shoe culture. The museum displays over 500 pieces of ancient footwear and replicas from more than 50 Chinese ethnic groups and various countries around the world, as well as 500 pictures related to shoes. Through physical exhibits and historical descriptions, the Ancient Chinese Shoe Museum allows more people to understand the history of the Chinese nation's shoemaking and to recognize shoe culture. It is also a cultural calling card for Si County.
