It is a national 4A scenic area, famous for its ginkgo landscape.  Best Time to Visit The best time to visit Tongzi'ao to see the ginkgo trees is from November to early December, when the ginkgo leaves are golden and bright. Transportation Guide - Self-driving: Depart from Yongzhou, drive along the Erguang Expressway, exit at Shuangpai/Chalin/Yangmingshan/S216, then turn to S216, and finally arrive at Tongzi'ao Ginkgo Village, about 1 hour by car. - Public transportation: First take a bus from Yongzhou to Shuangpai, then transfer to a bus or taxi to Tongzi'ao in Shuangpai. Attraction Introduction - Ancient Ginkgo Forest: There are more than 1,000 ginkgo trees, more than 200 of which are over 100 years old. There are four or five patches of ancient ginkgo forests with 20-30 trees. Walking among them, you will feel like you are in a golden ocean. - Xunlong Valley: The scenery in the valley is quiet, with streams flowing. You can walk along the valley and feel the tranquility and beauty of nature. - Mixin Valley: It is one of the main areas to enjoy the ginkgo forest. You can wander among them and look for the most beautiful ginkgo landscape. - Fairy Lake: The lake is clear, and the surrounding scenery is pleasant. It complements the ginkgo forest and forms a beautiful picture. Travel Route You can enter from the entrance of the scenic area, first visit the ancient ginkgo forest, enjoy the golden ginkgo leaves, and take photos; then go to Xunlong Valley to feel the tranquility of nature; then visit Mixin Valley to continue exploring the beauty of ginkgo; finally arrive at Fairy Lake to enjoy the lake and mountain scenery. Accommodation and Dining - Accommodation: There are a few homestays near Tongzi'ao to choose from, or you can choose to stay in Shuangpai County or Lingling District. - Dining: Local specialties include native chicken, bacon, etc., which can be tasted in or around the scenic area. Tickets and Discounts - Ticket price: Reference price is CNY 30/person. - Discount policy: Children under 14 years old, seniors over 65 years old, active and retired military personnel, police, firefighters, medical staff, and disabled people are exempt from tickets with valid certificates; with Tongzi'ao scenic area tickets, you can buy tickets to Yangmingshan, Huaiqian Valley, and Qinglong Cave scenic areas within three days for only CNY 15.
