Cat Lover's Paradise, Cat Island, Fukuoka

For those who love traveling in Japan, we think that Fukuoka is one of the cities that you shouldn't miss. It's a southern sea city in the Kyushu region. And if you're a cat lover, we have a place we'd like to recommend. This is the cat island, Ainoshima Island, in Shingu Fukuoka~ We mainly traveled by train. Just buy a JR pass and you can ride everything except the subway. We started our journey from JR Hakata -> Kashii Station, then changed to a local train (you can use it if you have a Suica card). Nishitetsu Kashii -> Nishitetsu Shingu and walked to Shingu Port for about 1 km. Or you can take a bus. There are boats every round. Each round takes 30 minutes. *There is a fee to cross. There is a place to sit and wait. There are cats walking around for you to play with. It takes about 10 minutes on the boat to reach the island. When we went on the island, it was starting to get quiet, but there were a lot of cats. We heard that the island itself is currently closed because there are only elderly people and cats. All the cats on the island can be adopted (if I'm not mistaken, try searching for more information). All the cats are very tame. The atmosphere is very peaceful. You can walk around. There is also a shrine, but it is quite a long walk. We were on the island for about 1 hour and then took a boat back. If the island is still open for visits, I would recommend you to go.
