Yele Lake in Liangshan, a secret place unknown to 99% of people

Yele, I stumbled upon this place online and was instantly intrigued. Taking advantage of the holiday, I drove there from Chengdu, which took about four hours. Upon entering the lake area, I was truly stunned by the natural and primitive scenery of mountains, lakes, livestock, and houses. Driving around the lake made me feel incredibly relaxed. Forget about the crowded Dali; this is the real place where you can feel the wind. Here are some tips: 1. There's no admission fee, but there's someone guarding the entrance to the lake area. Whether you can get in depends on your luck. I had to talk to the gatekeeper for a while, and eventually, after registering my information, I was allowed in. 2. There are hardly any tourists; I only encountered what seemed to be an outdoor group in the entire afternoon, and I was the only individual traveler. 3. Most of the journey is on the highway. Just navigate to Yele Lake. There's a winding mountain road with lots of small stones just before you reach the lake area, so be careful with your tires. 4. There aren't many places to stay inside, so I suggest camping or staying in Shimian after your visit. 5. If you have extra time, you can also visit the nearby Menghuo City.
