Huping Mountain, located at the northern end of Huping Mountain Town, Shimen County, Changde City, Hunan Province, is the northernmost boundary mountain of Hunan and the dividing line between Hunan and Hubei provinces. It is situated near the mysterious 30th parallel north, with its main peak reaching an altitude of 2098.7 meters, earning it the title "Roof of Hunan." The name Huping Mountain comes from the shape of its summit, which is high on all sides and low in the middle, resembling the mouth of a pot. Composed of Permian limestone and Devonian sandstone, the mountain range is imposing, with towering peaks and magnificent momentum. 🚙Transportation 1️⃣Self-driving: Take S303 and transfer to G241 into the mountains. Navigate to Huping Mountain Villa. After entering the mountains, you need to drive for more than an hour on winding mountain roads, with many blind spots on the cliffside roads, which is a test of driving skills. The scenery along the way is beautiful, with ice-blue water. 2️⃣Bus: Take the bus from Shimen West Station to Huping Mountain Town, and then transfer to the village bus.
