On the road from Kunming to Nuohei Village, you will see rice fields and mountains with large and small stone forests, which are very spectacular. 600 years ago, the Yi villagers used local stones to build the village. This is a world of stone, with houses, roads, and walls all built from various shapes of stone. The stones also bear the unique red soil color of Yunnan. Stepping into Nuohei Stone Village is like entering a mysterious world forgotten by time. There are obvious traces of government planning and design, but the original feeling and flavor of the ancient village have not been lost. The village is very clean and quiet. On the last day of the National Day holiday, there were no more than 20 tourists in the village, including us. It is very comfortable to walk around, and the village is larger than expected. Taking photos, picking walnuts and soapberries, it will take about 3-4 hours. 🏞️Scenery: ✔️Built on a mountain, you can climb the mountain and overlook the entire village. ✔️There is a pond in the middle of the village, with many plants of different colors and layers. Around the pond, Gesang flowers bloom in full swing, swaying in the wind. If it is a sunny day, it will be super beautiful. 🏪Business: ✔️There are almost no businesses like other ancient towns, only a farmers' market (open only on Fridays) and a small supermarket. ✔️Locally grown ginseng fruit can be bought at the farmers' market or from the farmers who are processing it, at 3 yuan per kilogram, which is super cheap. Tree-ripened ginseng fruit is so delicious, I always thought it had no taste before. 🌲Plants: 🍅There are many persimmon trees in the village, with yellow persimmons hanging on the branches. Ripe ones fall all over the ground. Villagers say that no one eats persimmons here, so we can pick them freely. I ate a ripe one, it was super sweet. ✨There are also huge walnut and soapberry trees by the pond. Looking around, the ground is full of fallen fruits. This unexpected fortune finally comes to me, I can't pick them all, I can't pick them all... 🐏Animals: There are sheep everywhere in the village, bleating "咩咩咩". There are also chickens walking around. Follow the bleating sound to find the sheepfold, and you will see the scene in Figure 6. One by one, the sheep tilt their heads and look out at you.
