#chinatransit Shijiazhuang's 240-hour transit visa-free policy means that citizens of 54 eligible countries can stay in China for no more than 240 hours after entering the port of Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport, during which they can engage in tourism, business, visits, family visits and other activities. The policy was officially implemented from December 17, 2024 and it is applicable to one of the 60 ports open to the foreign visitors, including Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport Port. Applicable countries and conditions The 54 countries that apply the 240-hour transit visa-free policy include Russia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, etc. Citizens of these countries who hold international travel documents valid for not less than 3 months and have booked a connecting ticket to a third country or region within 240 hours after stopping in China can apply to the Shijiazhuang entry-exit border checkpoint and enter the country after going through transit procedures in accordance with the law. Residence time and scope of activities Transit visa-free foreign travelers stay in China for no more than 240 hours, during which they can travel across provinces in Hebei Province and provinces (districts and cities) where the transit visa-free policy applies. Passengers can move freely in activities such as tourism, business activities, visiting relatives and friends, but they must be careful not to exceed the area allowed to stay. Procedure Eligible foreign passengers should have their own international travel documents valid for not less than 3 months and a connecting ticket to a third country or region within 240 hours, apply to the Shijiazhuang entry-exit border checkpoint, and enter the country after going through the transit procedures in accordance with the law. Pay attention to the scope of activities: After entering the country, foreign tourists can travel in Hebei Province, or they can come to Hebei from other provinces (districts, cities) that apply the transit visa-free policy to travel across provinces; during the trip, pay attention to the reasonable planning of tourist routes according to the allowed areas of stay and activities. Abide by the stay regulations: Visa-free foreign travelers in transit shall not stay in China for more than 240 hours, and may engage in tourism, business, visits, family visits and other activities during this period; if there are urgent and reasonable reasons or force majeure and other reasons, they need to stay in China for more than the prescribed time limit or beyond the allowed stay area, they should apply for a stay certificate from the entry-exit administration department of the local public security organ in advance.
