The first time I saw Jianshang Gymnasium, I seriously wondered if I'd walked into the wrong place. The exterior resembles a giant geometric object suspended in mid-air. The design is impeccable, reminiscent of a modern art museum. The pool inside is bright and airy, the steel ceiling structure seamlessly blending with the natural light. Looking up from the water is breathtaking. The outdoor area feels like an oasis in the city. During the day, you can bask in the sun, and in the evening, you can admire the interplay of skyscraper silhouettes and city lights. However, the overall circulation is somewhat awkward. Entry and exit to the pool is primarily by elevator, and during peak hours, traffic is often congested, making movement less smooth. Even so, this is one of the few venues in Shenzhen that combines both architectural beauty and a sporting atmosphere.
