Challenge Shenzhen's He Lu: A showdown between Shenzhen and Hong Kong's conveyor belt sushi!

Conveyor belt sushi is common in Hong Kong, but this is my first time trying it in Shenzhen 👀. Starting with He Lu: this chain claims to have been established in Shenzhen for years, so let's see what they've got. In terms of variety and price, He Lu is more expensive compared to Hong Kong's popular brand 'Genki Sushi,' and the selection of sashimi is relatively limited. However, they are currently promoting Australian tuna—78 RMB for 8 slices of medium fatty tuna and lean tuna, which is quite reasonable. Cooked dishes and fried items still dominate the menu, clearly catering to the local market's preferences. I randomly tried several types of sushi. One commendable feature is the smart conveyor belt above the tables, which works very well. However, it's positioned quite high, requiring you to raise your hands to grab the dishes, which is not only inconvenient but also increases the risk of spilling 🤔. A highlight is the unique sushi options that are rarely seen in Hong Kong: for example, the salmon and mango sushi without rice. It features a large piece of mango topped with a slice of salmon, priced at 36 RMB for two pieces. The mango is sweet and has a nice texture, likely from Pakistan. Another standout is the seared scallop sushi, which has a distinct seafood flavor 👍🏻. Next time, I'll take on Hong Kong's Genki Sushi in Shenzhen 😎.
