Gankeng Hakka Village

Gankeng Hakka Village is an ancient village of the Hakka Chinese people and a must-visit spot in Shenzhen. Located in a hilly area, the village was historically built in a circular layout to defend against invasions. It is one of the ten ancient villages in Shenzhen, featuring over a hundred-year-old houses lined up together. The traditional architecture served as a filming location for the movie 'Mulan.' Although the village has been renovated, it still retains its original charm, such as old tea houses and buildings that preserve their authentic characteristics. The area is filled with narrow alleys, and visitors can enjoy local cuisine at various restaurants offering traditional recipes.
