I finally got a chance to experience the InterContinental Shenzhen Dameisha Resort.

As a true Earth sign consumer, I first checked the weather, then researched the travel tips, and finally locked in the booking with a suite voucher. Later, I received a call from the hotel to coordinate the trip. What seemed like a perfect and predictable journey turned out to be literally full of unexpected twists and turns. The sky turned gloomy as soon as we entered the tunnel, and the promised beautiful blue sea and sky of the Sheraton Xiaojing Bay never appeared, which became the only regret of this trip. Fortunately, the management team is aware that the hotel focuses on family-friendly services, as evidenced by the children's toiletries, toothpaste, slippers, and daily family activities provided in the rooms. However, they also treat other guests with great care. Even if you are just lazing by the pool, the staff will come over to greet you. For those who are not content with just relaxing or are naturally energetic, this hotel can be used as a springboard to enter the eastern coastal mountains of Shenzhen, where you can arrange various activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, flower viewing, and surfing. The benefits for high-tier members are even more prominent, with a club independent of the main building, featuring a private atmosphere, updated facilities, and stunning aesthetics. It also has an outdoor swimming pool that is perfect for taking photos. Sinking into the sofa by the window, gazing at the distant horizon, is my favorite moment in this hotel. The upgraded suite is spacious and well-proportioned, with a one-bedroom, one-living room, and two-bathroom layout. It seems to have been renovated in recent years, with a simple but not dilapidated style. The storage space is large, and the multiple circular traffic lines are suitable for tireless children. It has two connected sea-facing balconies, so you can fall asleep to the sound of the tide at night, and if the weather is fine the next day, you can enjoy a magnificent sunrise over the sea. However, due to the winding nature of the building itself, the balconies can all awkwardly see each other, so this beautiful space can only be used as a temporary photo prop and a place to dry clothes. Even though I don't have high expectations for the breakfast at any resort hotel, the offerings here are only barely passable, with almost no highlights except for the fresh-squeezed yam juice. I recommend dining in the lounge, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery and exquisite à la carte dishes. As for afternoon tea and happy hour, they are very perfunctory. It can only be said that those who are on a diet and fans of bland Western food are in luck. In addition, the hotel occupies the core scenic spot of Dameisha, with a long beach. The outdoor combination swimming pool and wading pool are also huge, so you don't have to worry about not having a place to spend time. There is also an indoor swimming pool, with water deep enough to go over your head, which is especially suitable for swimming. Finally, it is more suitable for families with children who don't mind the noise, as the children will quickly become friends. If you simply want to relax, you should avoid holidays and weekends as much as possible.
