Attracted by the concept of the 'O·POWER' Art and Culture Center, I made a special trip to check in! In 1989, Shenzhen's Special Economic Zone was rapidly developing, and the power supply couldn't keep up with the soaring demand. The Overseas Chinese Town area faced the dilemma of 'stopping three days and operating four'! The Huazhong Power Plant came into existence, providing continuous power to the entire Overseas Chinese Town area for over 20 years. In 2006, as the power shortage ended, the mission of the Huazhong Power Plant was completed, and it ceased operation! Under the revitalization and transformation by the Overseas Chinese Town Group, this industrial heritage that witnessed the history of Shenzhen's reform and development has been transformed into the O·power Art Center, reborn with the new slogan 'Powering the city's imagination'!
