Exploring Shenzhen: Sanzhoutian Cherry Blossoms

This rare cherry blossom forest is hidden in the mountains of Sanzhoutian. The cherry blossoms in the entire valley are in full bloom. During non-flowering periods, you can drive directly to the 'Sun Yat-sen Gengzi Uprising Sculpture Park'. Don't stop when you get to the sculpture park, keep going until you reach the No. 3 gate of the Xiaosanzhou Reservoir. During the flowering season, there are many cars and people, and it is easy to get stuck in traffic. The safest plan is still to park at the Chaxigu parking lot and then walk up the mountain road. It's a bit far, but if you don't want to walk on weekends, you can take the Yunhai special line bus. If you insist on driving up, look at the left side of the downhill road where there is an empty parking space (you can't park on the right uphill road, you will be ticketed by the police). First enjoy the cherry blossoms and then climb the Meisha Tip, which is about 753 meters above sea level and is the third highest peak in Shenzhen. It's great. It takes less than an hour from Sanzhoutian to Meisha Tip. The stairs are not very steep, it's a very comfortable route. It's just that when you go down from the other side, it will be tiring enough. If you have limited physical strength, don't try it lightly! The reservoir is full of cherry blossoms, but they should not be old, most of them are small trunks. With the spring breeze in February and March, the cherry blossoms revive all over the mountains. From a distance, they look like thousands of piles of snow. The Drunken Cherry Pavilion and the Cherry Valley are the most concentrated. The cherry blossoms in the Drunken Cherry Pavilion are more lush and better, but there are also more people. The Cherry Valley is better because there are fewer people. You can spread picnic mats and take pictures. It's very photogenic, especially when the sun comes out. The light penetrates through the petals and reflects a large pink sea of flowers. The breeze blows, accompanied by the falling cherry blossoms, making the whole atmosphere romantic.
