When I first came to Shenzhen, I was attracted by the facade every time I passed by on my way back to the hotel. The hotel architecture is very distinctive, with each small square protruding. Later, I looked at the decoration of the guest rooms on various OTA platforms and felt that it was pretty good. Although it is self-operated, I still wanted to experience it. The hotel's LOGO design is also simple and stylish, and the guest room design has a designer style. There are many bird cages and birds in the hotel lobby, but it is not noisy and quite interesting. If the weather is good, the huge floor-to-ceiling windows can let in as much sunlight as possible, which is very beautiful. I booked a basic room, Huiyu, and upgraded it to Huiyue. The service was ok. But unfortunately, the lady at the front desk said that the fitness facilities, gym and swimming pool are on the underground first floor and are not open. I also like the decoration in front of the elevator, green apples and chess pieces. The size of the guest room is about 60 square meters, and the layout is reasonable. I especially like the sofa, table and chairs, which look very homey. The color scheme is mostly gray + wood color, but it doesn’t make people feel aesthetically tired, as some design thought was put into it. Soft drinks are free in the minibar, which includes the three at the bottom row of the mini fridge. The toiletries are from Italian brand Roberto Cavalli. It’s my first time using this brand and it doesn’t seem to have any smell, so it’s okay. The guest room faces the road and is directly opposite to the residential building, but if you walk in and slightly turn the window, you can see the Mandarin Oriental Shenzhen. It’s the same feeling as when you looked back to the hotel from the guest room of Mandarin Oriental Shenzhen. Outside the breakfast room is a bookstore. If you want to chat with friends, you can sit here and chat. It is very comfortable. Of course, the rooftop terrace is even more amazing. The view from the rooftop is truly excellent, as there are no high-rise buildings around to block the view, and the night view of Futian is in full view. The breakfast variety is OK, more and richer than expected, and there are beef ribs and the like, but they are fried in the morning and left for you to take. It would be even more amazing if they were listed as single items. The overall taste is also okay, not too impressive, which means it is of normal standard and not too bad.
