I spent five days in Shennongjia, Hubei last week. Here are my real feelings and travel tips.

1. Don't join a group tour. You can rent a car or take public transportation. Now there are shuttle buses at the main scenic spots in Shennongjia, which is very convenient. 2. If you depart from Guangzhou, you can fly to Shennongjia Hongping Airport (only flights on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday). If you take the high-speed train, it is recommended to go to Xingshan Station, which is more convenient. 3. If you rent a car, you can rent it at Xingshan Station. Renting and returning the car is very convenient. You can place an order on the mobile app. We rented a city SUV, and the insurance for five days was more than 1,000. 4. It is recommended to stay near the scenic spots. For example, you can stay in Hongping Town if you go to the Tianyan Scenic Area and Hongping Gallery. You can stay in Muyu Town if you go to Guanmenshan, Shennong Altar, Tiansheng Bridge, and Shennongding. You can stay in Pingqian Ancient Town if you go to Dajiu Lake. 5. The autumn scenery of Shennongjia changes with the altitude. Now the most beautiful places are Shennongding and Tianyan Scenic Area, which can last until the beginning of next month. The most beautiful places from the beginning to the middle of next month are Dajiu Lake, Guanmenshan, Shennong Altar, and Tiansheng Bridge. 6. If you want to see the morning mist of Dajiu Lake, it is recommended to stay in Pingqian Ancient Town for one night or stay in a homestay in Dajiu Lake Scenic Area. If you want to see the sea of clouds in Shennongding, it is best to arrive at Shennong Valley or Tianji Ridge before 8:00. Generally, if it rains the day before, there will be a sea of clouds the next day. 7. The Rainbow Bridge in Tianyan Scenic Area, the internet-famous tree in Shennongding, and Lake No. 5 in Dajiu Lake are the most beautiful and must not be missed. 8. If you want to see giant pandas, you can go to the Panda Pavilion in Guanmenshan. If you want to learn more about Shennong, you can go to Shennong Altar. If you like exploring, you can go to Tiansheng Bridge to explore the cave. 9. If you want to visit the six main scenic spots in Shennongjia, you need at least three or four days. If you only have two days, it is recommended to go straight to Shennongding and Dajiu Lake in this season. 10. It is recommended to stay in Muyu Town on the first day of arrival, go to Shennongding in the morning on the second day, take a one-day tour, and go to Dajiu Lake in the afternoon, mainly visiting Lake No. 4 and Lake No. 5. Stay in Dajiu Lake at night, watch the morning mist in the morning on the second day, and then return or go to Tianyan Scenic Area. Go to Guanmenshan, Shennong Altar, and Tiansheng Bridge on the third day. 11. It is a little cold in Shennongjia now, especially when it rains. The temperature is below 10° in the morning and evening. You need to bring a down jacket or a windbreaker, and autumn pants or pantyhose. 12. Shennongjia is full of mountain roads, but the road conditions are very good. There are many narrow roads and curves, so be careful when driving.
