Rapeseed flowers bloom at the foot of Fuzhi Mountain

"I climbed this mountain to drink wine and compose poetry, and when I was done I turned over the cup." The Eastern Jin Dynasty poet Xie Lingyun and others were inspired by the Fuzhi Mountain⛰️, and the mountain got its name from this. Fuzhi Mountain not only has 🈶millennium-old glacier stone waves, thousand-year-old terraced fields, but also 🈶hundred-year-old ancient villages, rapeseed flower fields🌼 and many other attractions. The weather in early March is warm, which is the season when rape flowers bloom. A heavy rain on the morning of the 28th made the flowers a little dim, but the continuous high temperatures on the 29th, 30th and 31st are perfect weather for viewing rapeseed flowers! 🚉Transportation strategy: If you drive 🚗, please navigate to Dongcheng Village (Shangyu District, Shaoxing). Parking is free everywhere. Take the high-speed rail 🚅 or train 🚞🉑 to Shengzhou North Station, Deqing Station, Shangyu Station, and then take a taxi 🚕 to Dongcheng Village! 🗓Itinerary: 🚩The hiking route is about 10km long. Starting from the shuttle bus parking lot in Dongcheng Village, walk straight along the upward road to reach the rapeseed viewing platform, then go down to the rapeseed field from the path in front of the platform, and go up along the path beside the stream. You will see a small house under construction blocking the way. Go back to the main road from the middle path and walk up until you reach the fork in the road, then turn left to Shilang. Follow the signs along the steps and walk straight. The thousand-year-old Shilang is reflected in front of you, giving you a sense of silence after the vicissitudes of life. Climb to the bottom of Shilang, there is a staircase on the left leading up the mountain. Continue following the staircase up the mountain to Turtle Rock, then go straight right. After reaching the viewing platform, take the Lingyun Ancient Road to the top of the mountain, pass Xi'e Spring, and then turn right at the intersection to reach the top. After reaching the top, go down the mountain on the right side of the tower, go left at the first intersection, go straight at the second intersection, and turn right at the third intersection. After seeing the parking lot and the store, you will arrive at the Fuzhishan Resort. Then go down along the intersection on the reservoir side. You will see a reservoir under the stone road and the ribbon. Turn right along the dirt road and keep going. After about 2-3km, you will see a small white house. Turn right along the dirt road and go down the mountain, you will see the rapeseed terraces. After going down the mountain, you will reach the road and continue down to the terraced promenade. Turn right and take the loop back to the rapeseed viewing platform. 🏁 📝Note tips: 1⃣️Most of the hiking in Fuzhi Mountain is on stone slabs, which is suitable for parents and children and novices, but not for the elderly. The first half is all climbing, which is quite intense, and after reaching the top it’s all the way down. Pay attention to your physical strength and safety. 2⃣️After the parking spaces in Dongcheng Village are full every day, the road will be closed at the intersection of the scenic area, and self-driving car owners will be guided to park in the Fuzhishan Scenic Area parking lot, and a shuttle bus (round-trip 10 yuan 💰/person) will be arranged to pick up tourists to Dongcheng Village. The latest pick-up time for the return trip is ⏱️5 pm. 3⃣️Fuzhi Mountain is suitable for visiting in spring and autumn. The rape flowers have begun to bloom and the flowering period is about 2-3 weeks. 4⃣️There are many roadside stalls and toilets in Dongcheng Village🚻, don’t worry, but there are almost none on the way up and down the mountain. So you still need to bring a water bottle and food to replenish your energy.
