Fuzhi Mountain is a famous mountain in eastern Zhejiang. Fuzhi Mountain, with a main peak of 861.3 meters above sea level, is named after the Eastern Jin Dynasty landscape poet Xie Lingyun, who "climbed this mountain to drink and compose poetry, and overturned his cup after drinking." Therefore, there is a statue of Xie Gong drinking freely at the top of the mountain. As a great place for hiking, Fuzhi Mountain has several features: 1. Thousand-year-old terraces: On the north slope of Fuzhi Mountain, in March, the rapeseed flowers bloom, creating a magnificent and beautiful terraced landscape. 2. Glacier stone waves: The stone piles on the mountain slope resemble surging waves, a relic of the Quaternary glacier from about 3 million years ago. 3. Ancient villages: Ancient villages such as Dongcheng, Liangzhai, and Dingshan are nestled in the mountains, offering a tranquil and idyllic atmosphere reminiscent of a paradise. I have climbed Fuzhi Mountain twice, once in February 2020 and again in September 2021. During the Spring Festival in 2020, in the chilly spring weather, I started climbing from the regular starting point, Dongcheng Village, halfway up the mountain. The cold wind blew in my face, and the withered grass and setting sun accompanied me. After more than two hours, I finally reached the top. In September 2021, I participated in a camping event and a local music festival at the terraced viewing platform on Fuzhi Mountain. The golden terraces were filled with the colors of harvest, and villages like Dongcheng Village seemed like lonely boats suspended halfway up the mountain.
