There are various small vendors on both sides of the main street, selling all kinds of delicious food and fun things. It's lively but not crowded~ If you want a more relaxing experience in Shiyihe Village, you can also choose to come on a weekday~ Compared to the number of visitors in downtown Shantou, the flow of people here is just right~ The main street is several hundred meters long, with cozy alleys on both sides, hiding many small shops where you can spend half a day relaxing. There are also many 3D murals in the alleys. If you stand in front of them, they look incredibly real! Some of them are replicas of Penang murals in Malaysia. I would call this place "Penang with winter"🤣🤣 There are also chairs on both sides of the main street for people to rest, which is quite thoughtful. The traditional Chaoshan residential architectural style, "Downhill Tiger," has been preserved here, and old houses (cuo means "home" in the Chaoshan dialect) have been transformed into various courtyard styles🏡, which is very pleasant~ There is an art gallery here, which holds exhibitions from time to time. The current exhibition, "Bamboo Construction · New Sequence," is quite unique.
