Stay at Shantou Marriott You need to go to the 27th floor first and then switch elevators to reach the guest room floors, which is a bit inconvenient. They generously upgraded me to a sea view suite, which has a living room, making it very convenient and appropriate for meeting friends in the afternoon. The sea view is only on one side, with a large area of wasteland below. The distant view is nice, but the close view is not worth mentioning... Eating, drinking, and entertainment are basically 3 kilometers away. The room has an ordinary toilet, but the hairdryer is a Dyson, and the TV supports screen mirroring, which is a plus. The welcome snacks were very plentiful, and it was the first time I received a handwritten welcome card. The overall service attitude was very good (I am also relatively easygoing myself...) The breakfast meets Marriott standards, with a rich variety of ingredients, and the juice is freshly squeezed, which is particularly commendable. The executive lounge is basically at the JW Marriott level (or maybe it just happened to suit my taste), with a generous variety and quantity of beers. I also visited the small park, which takes half an hour by taxi. It's just average, to be honest. The hotel is very nice, but it's too expensive. I feel that in a place like Shantou, 700-800 would be more appropriate. Tomorrow, I'll go to Sheraton to experience it for two more days.
