Baishuitai, the sacred land of the Naxi in Shangri-La, is one of the largest spring terraces in China

The well-defined fields sketch out the naturally beautiful lines, and the clear and transparent water fills them. Under the reflection of the blue sky, the water seems to have turned into a mysterious blue. The mud and sand in the fields are also milky white (deposits of calcium carbonate). These blue and white fields resemble a series of crescent moons put together. They shimmer and the gentle flowing water along the edges of the fields slowly moves, leaving behind beautiful traces in the mud and sand.
