There is a Twin Pagoda Park on the bank of the Xinjiang River opposite the Xinjiang Academy, with a pair of twin towers standing on it. One is the Kuiwen Pagoda, a seven-story octagonal tower that was rebuilt during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. There is also a small tower and a Gexian Temple next to it. The other is the Wugui Pagoda, a five-story octagonal tower. Legend has it that during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, five friends met to take the imperial examinations, all of them passed the imperial examinations and raised funds to build this tower on the bank of the Xinjiang River. They also planted a laurel tree for each of them, so the tower was named Wugui Pagoda. As the twin towers are quite far apart, it is difficult to capture them in the same frame.
